Are alumni and sibling candidates given preference in the admission process?Children of employees, alumni, First Presbyterian Church members, and siblings of current and former students will receive preferred consideration when all other factors are considered equal.

What is the difference between a waitpool and waitlist?A waitlist is organized in numerical order by time of application. A waitpool allows us to consider many other factors in our admissions decisions, such as time of application, school enrollment needs, sibling/alumni/church member priority, etc.

When is the application deadline?There is no application deadline at St. Petersburg Primary School. The application for the 2025-2026 school year will open November 1st, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. We will continue to accept applications and place students from a waitpool as space becomes available.

When will the Admissions Office notify me of my acceptance?Applicants will be notified in January after we complete current student re-enrollment.

Are shadow days required?We require Shadow days for prospective Elementary (K-4) students. Shadow days are not offered for prospective preschool students due to licensing requirements.

Does St. Petersburg Primary offer virtual tours?Virtual tours are not offered at this time. For reasonable accommodations, please email our Admissions Office at admissions@stpeteprimary.org.

How will admissions decisions be communicated?In January, you will receive an email confirming that you were successfully enrolled or that you were placed in our waitpool. This email will also include the next steps in your enrollment process to become a student at St. Petersburg Primary School.

Are there any additional fee's besides tuition?Fees: 2024-2025: Application Fee: $100 Enrollment Fee: $300 Curriculum Fee: $300 FACTS Fee: FACTS Fee (for processing online payments): One -time payment ($25) or, two or more payments ($55) Other Incidentals (including, but not limited to): Cot sheets, ID cards, late fees, etc. 2025-2026: Tuition and Fee information will be posted soon. Tuition and Fees are charged to your account through FACTS.

Can my child spend the day in a classroom?If your child is an elementary student or rising kindergarten student, we require a shadow day before enrollment. Preschool students cannot spend the day in the classroom due to licensing regulations, but they may accompany you on the tour!

Does St. Petersburg Primary School offer tours during the summer?Tours are generally offered September through May. Summer tours are only offered for openings in the upcoming school year, if available.

Do I need to be a Christian to attend St. Petersburg Primary School?No, you don't have to be a Christian to attend. We are a faith based school, and students attend our Chapel services once a month (these are held during school hours) and participate in our weekly Bible class.

What is your dress code policy?Preschool: There are no uniforms required. Closed-toe shoes and clothes that are ok to get messy should be worn at all times. Elementary: Uniforms are required, which include school-branded collared shirts, school t-shirts, and Free Dress Fridays. Information regarding purchasing a uniform will be shared once you enroll in SPP Elementary.
